data structures are the root of programming. understanding the basic data structure is at the core of understanding the programming and coding as a wider science. here are the main characteristics of various types of data that are used in classifying the data available at hand.

linear:
it is the simples form of data structure and it aligns all the data in a simple and straight line. the most common example of these data structures is a simple alignment of facts after facts as they occur.

non-linear:

and the structure that is nonlinear will be in this category. it is the main subtype of data structures and all the data structure types such as graphs, trees, and all other options come into this example. the non-linear data structure can be simple or complex.

homogeneous:

when all the components of a data structure are basically the same type, then the data structure is known as homogeneous. the main type of data structure that includes this data structure category is arrays because they are simple and straight.

non-homogeneous:

any advanced structures that re not aligned in the array are also non- homogeneous structures. the graphs, trees and all other forms of data structures are known as non- homogenous data structures.

static:

the static data structures have sizes and structures that are fixed and will not change with the passage of time. the array is a type of static data and it will also be another way of categorizing the data structures.

dynamic:
this is another form of categorizing the tree and graph form of data structures. that will require that the data varies as the execution of the program commences. the dynamic data structures change all the time according to the program that is being developed.

note:
there is a simple pattern to the categorization that we have presented. all of the opposing categories are either listing the array r its counterparts. that is because the difference between complex and singular data structures is the key to data structuring.

a complex structure will require extensively different treatment from a singular and simple data structure.

this is the most basic structuring of data in the programming world. all other data structures are advanced and grow out of this basic classification. check ou tavvy’s coding classes to learn more about the subject.
